How To Use TextEdit To Make A Web Page

TextEdit is a very good and simple text editor for the Mac. However, you’ll need to make a few changes in your Preference settings before you can start to make web pages. Without these changes, TextEdit will generate Rich Text Format documents which you definitely do not want.

As this video will show you, after you make the adjustments to your Preferences, you’ll need to close and quit the TextEdit application. Now, whenever you open TextEdit, it will be ready to create web pages.

This is a good tip for those on the Mac. There are a number of good other alternatives that could be used too, such as Coda or Komodo Edit

Thanks for those which I will have to check and maybe recommend to students. Might even blog about them in the future.
